Tyre Fitter

We have a group of Tyre centres we work for mostly around Antwerp and Brussels. Every season we get a planning from all of them, and we divide our pool of Tyre fitters to their
needs. Good workers can come back every season. After screening candidates we will not be able to immediately confirm the company you will work in. However, we will do our best to inform as soon as possible about the details of the planning. W keep into account skills, knowledge of English, transport, driving license. If the interview goes well, you are confirmed, but you might have to wait for the details.

TASKS DESCRIPTION

As a tyre fitter, you play a crucial role in the overall functioning of the automotive service center. Your expertise directly contributes to customer satisfaction and retention, as well as the reputation and success of the organization. By providing top-notch tyre fitting services, you not only ensure the safety and performance of customers’ vehicles but also help generate revenue through tyre sales and associated services. Moreover, your role as a tyre fitter may involve cross-training opportunities and professional development pathways, allowing you to expand your skill set and advance within the organization. Overall, your contributions as a tyre fitter are integral to the success and effectiveness of the automotive service centre as a whole.

Your responsibilities include the following:

• Mastering the techniques and procedures involved in tyre fitting, including mounting, balancing, and aligning tyres with precision and accuracy.
• Building trust and rapport with customers by delivering exceptional service, addressing their concerns, and providing knowledgeable recommendations tailored
  to their specific vehicle and driving habits.
• Completing tyre fitting tasks in a timely manner while maintaining high standards of quality and safety, optimizing workflow to maximize productivity.
• Ensuring proper tyre inflation, tread depth, and overall condition, while also conducting thorough inspections for signs of damage or wear that may require repair or replacement.
• Collaborating effectively with other team members, such as mechanics and service advisors, to coordinate workflow, share expertise, and ensure seamless customer experiences.

REQUIREMENTS

• Education: Not needed
• Work experience: Enough experience to change tyres of the car alone or in pair in +/- 20-30 minutes of time
  • Ideally a candidate has at least two seasons of experience
• Language: Communicative English
• Others: Client can send the candidate back home after 1 day, if he finds out lack of experience or willingness to learn.
• Working environment is friendly but candidates need to be able to work in a fast pace.

Skills

• Experience with “run flat’’ tyres and air pressure sensors TPMS is required.
• Proficient in using all equipment and tools for tyre assembly/disassembly.
• Proficient in using all equipment and tools for balancing.
• Proficient in using all equipment and tools for tyres regrooving.
• Proficient in using all (measuring) equipment and tools for alignment.

CONDITIONS

• Regular hours per week: 40-50 hours per week, overtime not guaranteed
• Paycheck: Weekly
• Gross salary:
  • First 500 hours working for Link2Europe: €16.86/h
  • +500 hours worked for Link2Europe: €18.55/h
  • Most will receive the higher wage after the first season. If they cross the 500 hours in their first season, the wage will also be increased.

• Shift hours: Day shift
• Extra: Travel cost TO Belgium is refunded up to €125:
  • After a completed season
  • Based on a fuel receipt that contains the date of travel
• Overtime: Not guaranteed, candidates need to be prepared for 40-50 hours (sometimes it will be only 40).
• How is overtime paid? 150% on the gross salary with normal taxes withheld.

• Driver’s licence and car required? Nice to have or willing to ride a bike.
• Rent of L2E housing €25/week (double room), €75/week (single room)

• Medical insurance 10€/month (invoice is sent for the months remaining in the year of start-up)
